Mayor of Mazarron meets with Camposol Residents Association
Camposol Residents Association hold progress meeting with Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo
The Camposol Residents Association (CRA) held a progress meeting with Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, on October 19, and below is an overview of the meeting based on information supplied by CRA lawyer Gerardo Vázquez.
Present at the meeting besides the Mayor and Sr Vázquez were the CRA President and Secretary, a Council planning technician and two councillors from the PP party who currently form part of the Council opposition. Issues covered were:
- First occupation licences: As a result of the meeting the CRA is to set up an internal working party to help homeowners in Camposol who do not have the document with a view to obtaining one. The relevant route and requirements were discussed with the Town Hall. If you fall into this category you can contact the CRA.
- Internal roads: Another working party is to be set up to revisit the possibility of the internal roads on polígonos being taken over by the Town Hall. The CRA are trying to arrange a test run with one of the polígonos. At the moment this requires the community of owners to have been activated on the relevant polígono.
- Obtaining titles to properties: The situation of some homeowners not having proper titles to their property was discussed and further meetings will be held with the Town Hall and other third parties on this subject.
- The rambla on Sector D: The Mayor will call a meeting of the rambla round table. In the meantime, the Town Hall has held discussions with the water authority (CHS) and option 4, to the West of Sector D, avoiding the areas with houses, is the favoured route. Assuming this is approved by the CHS, the Town Hall will need to draft the construction project. A little patience may be required but the CRA will keep in close contact with the Town Hall on the matter.
- Avenida de los Covachos: The work on the drafting of the project for the asphalting of Avenida de los Covachos has been delayed again by a challenge to the tendering result by a company that was unsuccessful in its bid for the contract. It is hoped that the delay will not be too long.
- Camposol Plan Parcial: A similar challenge has been lodged on the contract awarded to modify the development plan of Camposol (the plan parcial). The modifications are to try to adapt the planning of Camposol to what exists there in reality.
- The Mazarrón General Urban Plan: The town hall has also commissioned a general urban plan of the whole of the Mazarrón municipality, the drafting of which is also in the public tendering system. The two plans, the local Camposol plan and the general Mazarrón plan are envisaged to resolve the problem of some properties in Camposol being used as residential, when they are designated for touristic use under the current plans.
- List of individual issues from the residents: The CRA are to present a list in writing to the Town Hall of individual and other issues raised by the residents of Camposol, so that the Town Hall can reply.
