March 31 PAPS fundraiser lunch in Los Urrutias for mums
Enjoy a special lunch that celebrates all kinds of mums, with music, good company, and support for local animal charities
On Tuesday March 31, you can enjoy a special lunch at Restaurant Ruf Mari in Los Urrutias for the annual Mother’s Day fundraiser in aid of PAPS dog shelter in Murcia. Doors open at 1pm for a 1.30pm sit-down time. Tickets are €15 each and include a meal of salad, chicken with vegetables and potatoes, and a choice of Crème Brulée or ice cream for dessert. If you would like the vegetarian option, just mention it when you book.
This lunch celebrates all kinds of mums from birth mums, adoptive or foster mums, to grandmas, aunties, supportive friends, and of course, ‘pet mums’ who love and care for their furry four-legged babies are all welcome. If you nurture and support others, this afternoon is for you.
The event will be a fun afternoon with good company, music, and a raffle with some lovely prizes. All funds raised will benefit local animal charities such as PAPS, Malcolm’s Cats and LIPS. The Protectora Animales Perros del Sol (PAPS) is a rescue shelter and foundation to support abandoned dogs in the Costa Cálida area of southern Spain.
Based in El Mirador near San Javier, PAPS provides a safe and caring environment for abandoned or unwanted dogs whilst endeavouring to find them loving, permanent homes.
Established in 2010, over the years PAPS have helped thousands of dogs get the decent quality of life they deserve, largely thanks to the continued generosity of volunteers and supporters who lend their time and money to this worthy cause.
PAPS doesn't receive any funding from the local council and so rely on donations from the public to keep going. If you are able to make a monetary donation, any amount – large or small – is appreciated. With registered charity fiscal number G54504907, you can be sure that your money is going to a legitimate good cause.

If you can't afford to make a monetary donation but still want to help, you can feel free to contact them about the possibility of dropping off dog food or doggy treats, or to volunteer your time walking and looking after the dogs.
Better yet, if you want to make a dog's life better permanently, you can adopt one of the pups at PAPS and give it the home it deserves!
