ARCHIVED - Lorca to increase city bus routes from April 1
The Torre del Obispo urbanisation in Lorca will also have a direct connection with the city

The Councillor for Transport of Lorca City Council, Irene Jódar, has announced an exciting new schedule for the city’s buses that includes new routes, more frequent trips and better connections for outlying districts.
From April 1, the line 1 Apolonia-Rafael Méndez Hospital will run every 30 minutes from 3pm and in the morning, between 7am and 3pm, a new rotating bus will complete 3 circuits every hour instead of 2, meaning that a service will pass every 20 minutes.
The councillor explained that “also, regarding mobility from districts, Limusa has established two more expeditions on line 3 of Campillo departing from Ovalo at 10am in the morning and at 7pm. This same line will open a new destination, Torre del Obispo, which will have direct service with Plaza Ovalo in the centre of Lorca, with two routes in the morning and another two in the afternoon”.
“We continue working to improve the urban bus service to offer the best services to our neighbours and to popularise its use to decongest traffic in the urban area of the city and reduce pollution,” she concluded.
