Locked up without food: Three dogs rescued from horrific neglect in Murcia
Seprona agents found the animals in filthy conditions and have launched an investigation into the owner

"These animals were found inside a farm plot, in a small building of about 16 square metres in area, with a metal fence that was closed with a padlock. In the facilities, abundant excrement and mud were seen," authorities confirmed in a statement.
One of the dogs was in particularly poor condition, showing extreme weight loss and signs of cachexia (a syndrome causing severe muscle wasting and malnutrition). The other two, which were kept in a separate cage, were also suffering from malnutrition. Seprona officers used microchips to identify the owner, who has now been placed under investigation for animal cruelty.

Despite their ordeal, the dogs now have a second chance. They have been placed with a new caregiver who is ensuring they receive the proper treatment and care they deserve.
