June 30 Djavan live in concert as the 25th San Javier Jazz Festival begins

The Brazilian jazz giant provides a sparkling opening to the season at the Parque Almansa auditorium in San Javier

The 25th edition of the San Javier Jazz Festival begins on June 30 with a star-studded line-up in store over the three-week event, starting with a concert given by Djavan at the Auditorio Municipal Parque Almansa.

DJAVAN has been hailed as a brilliant singer-songwriter, combining Brazilian popular music with jazz, rock and pop, as well as one of the country’s most admired composers among both musicians and jazz aficionados. His songs have been covered by The Manhattan Transfer, Carmen McRae, Al Jarreau and Toots Thielemans among others, and he has collaborated with such prestigious artists as Quincy Jones, Paco de Lucía, Stevie Wonder, Marcus Miller and Lee Ritenour.

His 25^th studio album "D" was released recently, and the brilliance of his long career guarantees a sparkling start to the 25th edition of Jazz San Javier.

The opening concert of the 2023 San Javier Jazz Festival begins at 22.30 in the open-air Auditorio Municipal with tickets priced at 40 euros. Season tickets are also available: for bookings and further information click here.
