This year, Roda Golf & Beach Resort in San Javier, Murcia celebrates its 20th anniversary in style: with a major golf tournament on Saturday June 20.The tournament will be played according to Stableford rules, with tee-offs taking place morning and afternoon.
There will be three categories: gentlemen, ladies and scratch. There are prizes and trophies for the winners, and in addition prizes are available for closest to the hole on all par-3s.
Not only that, but all participants will have the chance to enter a prize draw to win a trip to Camiral, where the Ryder Cup is being held in 2031.
The competition has collaborators of the likes of Ping, Taylor Made and Heineken, and is sponsored by Riversa, a Spanish family-run business specialising in the import and distribution of professional lawn care products since 1976.
To sign up for this special 20th anniversary golf tournament, go to the Golf Directo website. Registration is open until Thursday June 18, but it’s best to be quick as only 216 places are available overall!
Prices are €95 for general players, or €80 for members and junior players. This price covers the cost of the green fees, and also includes a welcome present and an invitation to the cocktail party at the end.

Annapurna Nepali & Indian Restaurant opens its doors in Los Belones on Friday January 30, bringing a wide-ranging menu inspired by the rich flavours of Nepal and India.
Alongside all the classic favourites, diners will find an impressive choice of vegetarian and vegan curries, chef’s specials and even fish and chips, making it an easy choice for mixed groups.
The restaurant also features a spacious, heated outdoor terrace and offers both eat-in and takeaway options.
Annapurna is open daily from 12pm to 3pm for lunch and from 6pm to 11pm for dinner.
