July 20 Free concert by Michele Hendricks & The Ronald Baker Project as part of the 25th San Javier Jazz Festival
Two great jazz vocalists perform on the Explanada Barnuevo on the seafront in Santiago de la Ribera
This celebration of the art of vocal jazz consists of the coming together of two great North American artists. MICHELE HENDRICKS, daughter of legendary vocalist Jon Hendricks and a grande dame of jazz, has peerless knowledge of scat and vocalese techniques and is a master at combining classic jazz with new trends, while the great trumpeter and singer RONALD BAKER, who has visited the San Javier Jazz Festival on numerous occasions. They are accompanied by a luxury trio of musicians from Spain: Gerard Nieto on piano, Ignasi González on double-bass and Roger Gutiérrez on drums.
The concert on the Explanada Barnuevo in Santiago de la Ribera begins at 22.30 with admission free of charge.
