July 12 Paolo Fresu Quintet at the 25th San Javier Jazz Festival

One of the biggest names in Italian jazz at the Parque Almansa auditorium in San Javier

PAOLO FRESU is not only one of the best and most renowned Italian jazz musicians, but simply one of one of the greats of European jazz, with more than 350 recorded albums (including 80 as leader).

A virtuoso on trumpet and flugelhorn, his quintet was formed with Bruno Tommaso and the great trumpeter Enrico Rava. He was named Best European Musician in 1996 and won the "Django d'Or" as the best European jazz musician.

Among his most popular projects have been the trio Mare Nostrum, with Richard Galliano and Jan Lundgren, and his wonderful quintet, who are re-uniting in San Javier as one of the jewels in the crown of this 25th anniversary festival.

This 7^th concert of the 2023 San Javier Jazz Festival begins at 22.30 in the open-air Auditorio Municipal in Parque Almansa with tickets priced at 15 euros. Season tickets are also available: for bookings and further information click here.
