Jan 26-Feb 11 Torrevieja Carnival 2024: Three action-packed weekends of fun and entertainment
This year’s Costa Blanca festivities will run from Friday January 26 until Sunday February 11

The 2024 programme of events for the Torrevieja Carnival comes packed full of activities, music and colour guaranteed to keep the whole family entertained. This year, the festivities have been planned over three consecutive weekends and will run from Friday January 26 until Sunday February 11.
Friday January 26
21:00: The Carnival kicks off with a party at the Municipal Theatre of Torrevieja.
Saturday January 27
6pm and 9pm: The Coronation of the Carnival Kings and the Presentation of the Golden Shield at the Municipal Theatre.
Sunday January 28
11:00: Local animal shelters will bring their pets to La Mata (Plaza Encarnación Puchol), giving carnival goers a chance to adopt a new furry friend.
This will be followed by the II Carnival Paella Competition, concerts and entertainment for the kiddies.
Friday February 2
20:30: V Quedada Carnavalera parade departs from Plaza de la Constitution.
Saturday February 3
21:00: XV Drag Queen Gala ‘Ciudad de Torrevieja’ at the International Auditorium.
Tickets for the event can be purchased through the Cultura Torrevieja website for 10 euros.
Sunday February 4
16:00: Great Carnival Parade Costume Contest at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center.
Thursday February 8
18:00: Carnival party for older people at the Municipal Leisure Center (CMO).
Friday February 9
17:00: Children’s parade departs from the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center, culminating in Paseo Vista Alegre, where there will be entertainment, dancing and chocolate for the little ones to enjoy.
20:30: 1st Parade Competition of Foreign Troupes of the Torrevieja Carnival at Calle Ramón Gallud.
Saturday February 10
8pm: The ‘Great Night Parade’ will leave from Virgen del Carmen Cultural Centre, travelling along Calle Ramón Gallud, finishing up on the Paseo Vista Alegre stage.
After the parade, the best local DJs will take to the stage. This will be followed by the awards ceremony and a special surprise performance.
Sunday February 11
18:00: Torrevieja Carnival 2024 wraps up with the ‘National Competition of Comparsas and Chirigotas’ at the Municipal Theatre.
Prices
Most of the events are free but tickets will have to be picked up from the Torrevieja Municipal Theatre from Thursday January 16.
