Firefighters spent two hours tackling a massive blaze at a rubber and flooring factory in San Vicente del Raspeig on Sunday.

The fire broke out at the premises on the Canastell industrial estate shortly before 4.30pm, prompting a call from the town council for residents to keep all windows and doors closed, though they assured the smoke was not toxic.

Thankfully, nobody was injured in the blaze, which destroyed much of the building, despite the efforts of 19 firefighters equipped with eight fire engines.
