ARCHIVED - How to book online Covid jab appointments in Cartagena and other areas of Murcia
There are now 16 municipalities offering this online vaccine booking system
The SMS regional health service in Murcia announced on Wednesday that from now on it will be possible for residents of the municipality of Cartagena aged between 50 and 59 to request appointments for their coronavirus vaccines online.
Those registered with the SMS can request their jabs in the same way as they request normal appointments through the MurciaSalud website and the appointments mobile phone app. In Cartagena this will mean choosing among the timetables available for vaccination at the La Rambla centre (formerly the Eroski supermarket), and 4,000 slots have been made available on each of 1st, 2nd, 8th and 10th June.
Similar systems are also operative in the municipalities lited above using the same procedure as to request any other appointment with the family doctor, nursing staff or midwives. Simply log in as usual here on the MurciaSalud website, and select the relevant option.
First select the language option: English
Then enter your CIP code. There are two types of health card and if you are unsure which number to enter, then to the right of the log-in panel is a question mark. Click on that and the two types of card can be seen and it is clearly indicated which is the number to be entered. Use capital letters.
Below that enter date of birth and click enter.
The system will offer an appointment. If this is not convenient, select change appointment and generally another date or time will be offered, depending on the availability at your particular vaccination centre and the days scheduled for vaccination.
Supply telephone number as requested and confirm appointment.
A reminder can be sent by email and if you require a reminder, fill in the field as indicated.
And that's it. Very straightforward.
If you are unable to book for any reason, then go to your local health centre and ask for help.
