Murcia weather forecast, Sunday June 28The warm and sunny weather continues in the Region of Murcia this week, with forecasters from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) predicting that temperatures over the next few days will remain stable in the mid-30s, with few changes.
The heatwave that has been broiling western Europe recently has brought record high temperatures to various parts of the continent. France experienced its hottest day ever, as did London, with the UK seeing record heat for June. In Spain, the country reached its highest daily average since 1950.
Parts of northern Spain continue to be on yellow alert for high temperatures, but in Murcia there will be no weather alerts active this weekend.
The Murcia weather forecast for the period from Thursday June 25 to Sunday 28 is pretty similar for each day: mainly sunny skies with little cloud cover and gentle breezes that barely cool you down, and in some cases may even blow in hot, making it feel even warmer than it already is!
Maximums during the day will get up to 30-33ºC in coastal areas and 35-36ºC in the inland parts of Murcia, while night-time lows will be stable at around 17-18ºC in the north and 20-22ºC elsewhere.
Maximum temperatures in Murcia, Thursday June 25On Saturday 27, Aemet notes that there will be “clouds developing during the day in the northwestern mountain ranges, where occasional thunderstorms cannot be ruled out.” That will mainly be in the rural areas along Murcia’s border with the province of Albacete, where it is possible that lightning strikes could spark a forest fire.
Murcia weather forecast, Sunday June 28As ever when the weather is this hot, it is advisable to drink plenty of water, stay in the shade – especially during the hottest hours of the day, in the early afternoon – and to call the emergency services on 012 if you think you or someone else might be in need of medical assistance.
