A tragic afternoon unfolded in southern Gran Canaria on Thursday when an elderly German tourist fell to his death from a hotel in Playa del Inglés. The incident happened shortly after noon at the well-known Green Field hotel on Avenida de Tenerife, with the man landing on the street below.

 

Emergency calls quickly brought paramedics from the Canary Islands Emergency Service, along with Policía Nacional and Policía Local officers, rushing to the scene. They tried to resuscitate him, but his injuries proved too severe. "His injuries were incompatible with life," and sadly, they could only confirm his passing on the spot.

 

Now, officers from the Policía Nacional at Maspalomas station are piecing together what led to the fall. They're working to figure out if it was a terrible accident or something more deliberate, like a possible suicide.
