February 7 to 22 Carnival 2026 in Mazarrón During February the Carnival season is celebrated to a greater or lesser degree in practically every town, school and municipality in the Region of Murcia and Mazarrón is no exception with an extended programme this year featuring three major parades, plenty of live entertainment and the ceremonial burning of the figure of Don Carnal outside the Town Hall on 17^th February (Shrove Tuesday).

The full programme for Carnival 2026 in Mazarrón is as follows:

Saturday February 7

11.00: The Carnival posters go up all over Mazarrón.

21.30: The Carnival troupes gather for dinner at the “La Cañadica” sports centre and welcome this year’s Muses, Doña Cuaresma, Don Carnal and the Carnival personality of 2026.

Friday February 13

17.00: The fairground attractions open outside the old headquarters of the Guardia Civil in Mazarrón with an evening of half price offers for children.

22.00: The gala to choose the Muses, Doña Cuaresma and Don Carnal at the “La Aceña” sports pavilion.

23.30: DJ music at the “La Aceña” sports pavilion.

Saturday February 14

17.00: Children’s parade starting outside the old headquarters of the Guardia Civil and ending at the municipal marquee in Avenida de la Constitución. Prizes are awarded at the “La Aceña” sports pavilion.

17.30: DJ music at the municipal marquee.

Sunday February 15

17.30: DJ music at the municipal marquee in Avenida de la Constitución.

18.00: The main Carnival parade, starting outside the old headquarters of the Guardia Civil and ending at the municipal marquee in Avenida de la Constitución. Prizes are awarded at the “La Aceña” sports pavilion.

Tuesday February 17

21.00: Live music from Orquesta Zona Azul at the municipal marquee.

21.30: Dress up in black and come along to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento in Mazarrón for the ceremonial burning of the figure of Don Carnal!

Friday February 20

17.00: 2-for-the-price-of-one offer at the fairground outside the old headquarters of the Guardia Civil.

Saturday February 21

17.00: Pets’ Carnival at the municipal marquee.

22.00: Live music from Vértigo at the municipal marquee.

Midnight: DJ music well into the night.

Sunday February 22

16.00: The final parade of Carnival 2026 features the local fiestas groups and guests from elsewhere in the Region, starting outside the old headquarters of the Guardia Civil and ending at the municipal marquee in Avenida de la Constitución. Prizes are awarded at the “La Aceña” sports pavilion.

17.30: DJ music at the municipal marquee.
