Euromillions jackpot winner goes missing in Spain
The winning ticket, worth 162 million euros, was sold last week in a small town in northern Spain
The small town of Derio in northern Spain is abuzz with excitement and curiosity as a massive 162 million Euromillions jackpot remains unclaimed. The winning ticket, sold last week in Vizcaya in the Basque Country, has sparked a frenzy of speculation and intrigue, with locals and outsiders alike wondering who the lucky winner might be.
The winning combination of numbers 4, 8, 16, 17 and 20, along with the stars 6 and 1, has made one person an instant multimillionaire, but their identity remains a closely guarded secret. The State Lottery office in Derio, where the ticket was validated, has been flooded with well-wishers and curious onlookers, all hoping to catch a glimpse of the elusive winner.
As the search for the mysterious millionaire continues, the town of Derio is alive with excitement. Could it be a local resident who has scooped the jackpot? Or perhaps a tourist who stopped by the town's lottery office on a whim? The suspense is palpable, and the people of Derio are eagerly awaiting the winner's grand reveal.
This is not the largest Euromillions prize ever awarded in Spain, but it's certainly a life-changing amount. The winner will take home a staggering 162,256,512 euros, a sum that's sure to bring a smile to their face.
And with a Second Category winner also announced in León (these winnings have, thankfully, already been claimed), the total prize money awarded in Spain this week is a staggering 256,956,512 euros.
Back in 2022, another lucky player won an incredible 230 million euro jackpot in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. For the next Euromillions prize draw, participants will be in with a chance to win 17 million.
