easyJet announces new international route from Alicante airport
The UK low-cost airline will launch this new flight route at the end of October
easyJet has announced the launch of a new flight route between Alicante and the city of Naples in Italy starting on October 29, 2024.
It is one of the 60 new routes that easyJet has launched worldwide. In Spain, it has nine new connections starting for the 2024 winter season at the airports of Alicante, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Madrid and Barcelona, connecting them with destinations in the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Austria.
At Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport, where easyJet opened a new base just a couple of months ago, Naples is added to the roster of destinations on offer this winter flight season. The plan is to have two flights a week going in each direction.
With the new destinations, the airline “continues to strengthen its presence in a strategic market such as Spain,” according to Javier Gándara, easyJet’s managing director for Southern Europe.
“The new routes we are offering for sale are part of our commitment to continue strengthening air connectivity in these regions and our desire to continue adapting the route network to the destinations most in demand by our customers.”
