easyJet announces exciting new city break route from Alicante
Passengers flying from Alicante Airport will be able to jet off to Prague from March
Costa Blanca’s intrepid travellers will soon have a new opportunity to explore one of Europe’s most stunning cities without breaking the bank, as easyJet has just announced its latest city break route from Alicante Airport to Prague, starting in March 2025.
With flights lasting just three hours and prices starting from a mere 49 euros each way, this new route is set to become a game-changer for travellers seeking an affordable and convenient getaway.
easyJet's new route offers flexibility for both business travellers and tourists. With flights departing on Mondays and Fridays, you can choose to travel during the week or take advantage of the weekend flights to plan a 3-day getaway.
The flight schedule is designed to make the most of your time, with departures from Alicante on Fridays at 6.25pm, landing in Prague at 9.10pm. The return flight on Monday leaves Prague at 9.35pm and arrives at Alicante airport at 12.30 am.
For those with more time to get to know the Czech Republic, flights will depart from Alicante Airport every Monday at 6:10pm and arrive in Prague at 8:55pm. If you decide to return on Friday, the plane will leave Prague at 9:55pm and land in Alicante at 12:50am.
easyJet's decision to strengthen its base in Prague is part of a broader strategy to reinforce its presence in key markets. The airline has a long history in Prague, having transported 18 million passengers since it began operations in September 1999.
With this new route, the budget airline is increasing its routes from Václav Havel Airport by 35%.
The airline's expansion plan also includes other important destinations, such as Birmingham, Glasgow and Liverpool; Nantes and Palma de Mallorca, and recently inaugurated routes to Belfast and Naples.
This route also strengthens Alicante's position as an attractive destination for Czech travellers looking to enjoy the sun and the beach. Alicante, with its warm climate and year-round sunshine, is a very popular destination for those who want to escape the cold of Central Europe.
