Costa Blanca Rawhiders motorcycle club open days: June 17 and 24
ARCHIVED ARTICLE -
Get to know the Alicante motorbike club members at an informal, no-obligation meet-up this June
This June, you can get to know the folks at the Costa Blanca Rawhiders Motorcycle Club at one of their two meet-up events, where they will be welcoming new prospective members.
Anyone interested in getting involved in the club’s biking, charity and other non-profit work can simply turn up and meet representatives of the Rawhiders for a no obligation coffee and chat at one of these Alicante venues:
- June 17 @ 11am-12.30pm: Restaurante La Piedra, Gran Alacant
- June 24 @ 11am-12.30pm: Restaurante Rockys Arena, Playa Flamenca
Who are the Rawhiders?
The Costa Blanca Rawhiders Motorcycle Club is a multinational club made up of men and women, mostly between their 40s and 60s, who live in or are frequently in Alicante province and who love motorcycles. The members speak English, French, German, Norwegian, Flemish and other languages, and any and all like-minded bikers are welcome, bar none.
The club was founded in 2010 and is a formally recognised motorcycle club (‘Moto Grupo’ or MG in Spanish) which observes all the protocols of an authorised back-patched members motorcycle club.
The Club now has one of the largest multinational memberships right across the Costa Blanca. Many of the members have Spanish residency but others live overseas and visit Spain within their permitted periods or just have holiday homes and visit a few times a year.
There are no fixed requirements to how often an MG member has to attend events and rides, other than be as committed as they can be. There are also no age limits, nationality requirements or any other similar criteria. All you need is a bike with a minimum engine size of at least 500cc. It’s also an ‘any bike type’ club.
Whist being completely independent, the club is also closely associated and welcomed by many of the other major MG and MC bike clubs on the Costa Blanca and regularly enjoys very friendly social inter-club clubhouse gatherings, ride-outs with other clubs and events and out on two wheels several times a week.
Rawhiders MG Charity work
While it is very much a bike club, with an emphasis on riding, the Club also prides itself on its fundraising for important local, Costa Blanca-based charity organisations.
These include the Alzheimer’s Association in Torrevieja, the AAN families in need charity in La Marina and the MABS cancer charity.
