ARCHIVED - Corvera airport opens new route with Morocco
Air Arabia is operating two weekly flights to Morocco this summer
Air Arabia inaugurated its new twice weekly route from Corvera to the city of Oujda in Morocco on Friday, opening up a new direct connection for residents and visitors.
The new route, connecting the Region with Morocco for the first time, has two weekly frequencies (a total of four flights, one departure and one arrival on Fridays and Mondays). This new AIRM connection, which Air Arabia will operate using an Airbus 320 with capacity for 174 passengers, began this Friday with the landing of flight MAC387 from Oujda Angads Airport.
The general director of the AIRM concession company, Mariano Menor, accompanied the regional director of Air Arabia for Spain, France and Portugal, Khalid Chakrane Bachtiri, and the commercial executive of Air Arabia in Spain, Lukas Krejcik, at the inauguration of the route.
The company also began a direct route from Málaga last week to Fez.
The route offers a regular connection both for tourists and Moroccan emigrants seeking to return to the country by air following the suspension of Operación Estrecho this year.
