Torrential rain will be replaced by occasional showers across much of Alicante province this week
Alicante province has taken a battering over the last few weeks with record levels of rainfall leading to flash flooding In fact, the Valencia region as a whole has recorded its wettest March since 1950.

According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), here's what the region can expect over the next few days.

On the coast, moderate northeast winds are forecast; whilst inland areas can expect light winds from the north and east.
- Alcoy: minimum temperatures of 6ºC rising to 15ºC
- Alicante: 12ºC to 18ºC
- Denia: 12ºC to 16ºC
- Elche: 10ºC to 17ºC
