ARCHIVED - Characterful Spanish ballet performance in San Javier: August 18
The performance has been choreographed by dancers from the Region of Murcia
A ballet español (Spanish style-ballet) performance included in the International San Javier Theatre, Dance and Music Festival is scheduled for 10.30pm this Wednesday, August 18, in the Parque Almansa Auditorium in San Javier.
The visual performance 'Pasión Flamenca' has been choreographed by Murcia-born Carmen Coy, from a family of choreographers and dancers.
Live music will accompany the dancers as they put on a spectacular show which can be enjoyed by both Spanish and non-Spanish speakers.
Ballet español combines the technicality of classical ballet with the traditions of Spanish dance. It is accompanied by flamenco music, and is essentially a graceful version of flamenco. It's highly visual and captures the essence of Spain, making it popular with foreign visitors.
Tickets are available on the Town Hall’s event website and prices vary between 17 and 20 euros depending on the seat selected.
