British tourist missing in Spain since Halloween night
The 31-year-old hasn’t been heard from in 4 days after flying to Tenerife to visit pals
Concern is growing for 31-year-old Manchester man Kris Finney, who has been reported missing in Tenerife after failing to make contact with his family for four days. Kris had travelled to the island to meet a friend on holiday, but his sudden disappearance has sparked a desperate search effort.
Kris arrived in Tenerife on Thursday afternoon, October 31, and texted his mother to confirm his safe arrival. However, his phone battery was running low, and he hasn't been heard from since. His mobile is now switched off, and attempts to reach him have been met with silence.
The young electrician from Ramsbottom reportedly spoke to friends at around 9pm on the night he disappeared, telling them he was in the popular Playas de las Americas area, near McDonald’s. But there have been no sightings since.
Kris's family is frantically trying to locate him and his aunt Debbie has been working tirelessly to track him down. They have managed to identify his hotel and have been in touch with local authorities and Greater Manchester Police to report his disappearance.
While Kris may occasionally go without contacting his family for 12 to 18 hours, according to Debbie, his prolonged silence has raised concerns among his loved ones. His aunt described Kris as a responsible and reliable person, making his disappearance all the more alarming.
She said: "His mum got a text at 4pm from him, and that was the last we heard from him. According to some of his friends, they were speaking to him around 9pm that night.
"Since then, nobody has heard anything from him. He was supposed to meet up with his friend who is staying in a different hotel and never showed. We have phoned and sent texts that haven't delivered.
"It was last night that we got the call from one of his friends saying nobody had heard from him for days. We've been trying to get hold of him and haven't been able to - it's not like Kris."
