ARCHIVED - Benidorm in the 1960s: photo exhibition until 15 June
The display of pictures by ‘Quico, el Fotógrafo’ includes almost 80 photos of day-to-day life in the popular town in Alicante in the 1960s and during the tourism boom.
The Boca del Calvari museum in Benidorm (Alicante) is hosting ‘La Pasión Desordenada’, an exhibition of photos of life in the town in the 60s by Francisco Pérez Bayona, known as ‘Quico, el Fotógrafo’.
The exhibition will be open until 15 June and pays tribute to the artist and what he called his ‘untidy passion’.
Pictures are grouped by topic, such as tourism, local commerce, scenes of everyday life and portraits, and are distributed across three floors of the museum.
