Benidorm firefighters rescue child wedged between railings and a billboard
The youngster was trapped between metal fencing and an advertising panel in the centre of Benidorm
Fire crews in Benidorm responded to an unusual call in the centre of the resort after a little boy got stuck between metal railings and an advertisement board.
The child, believed to be around five years old, had somehow become wedged with his back to the billboard, and was unable to get out.
Emergency services were alerted to the youngster's plight in Calle London just before 8pm on Wednesday May 10.
Firefighters were quickly mobilised and used a hydraulic spreader, a rescue tool normally deployed in traffic accidents, to free the child "quickly" and "in perfect health".
The rescue operation took less than 10 minutes, and involved six firefighters along with Benidorm Local and National Police.
