August 7 Free concert, The Alfredo Rodríguez Trío in the Mazarron Rejazz Festival
Top Latin Jazz in the 2024 al fresco Mares de Papel season in Puerto de Mazarrón
Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodríguez is currently enjoying great success in the world of jazz, having been nominated for a Grammy due to his talent and excellence as a pianist in the style of the great masters of the genre.
He has played at almost all of the major jazz festivals throughout the world and is the latest in a long line of Cuban piano greats, a reputation consolidated and enhance by his album Coral Way in which he adds a twist to his style by allowing the influences of the “Miami sound”, pop, timba, salsa, bachata, tango, reggaeton and even boleros to combine with more traditional jazz.

The show on Wednesday August 7th begins at 22.00 at the headland of El Castellar, at the western end of Playa de Bahía (click for map).
Note: all events in the Mares de Papel season are free of charge, with no need for prior booking. However, space is limited and an early arrival is recommended, especially in the case of the popular ReJazz events: entry is permitted from half an hour before the advertised start time.
No further admissions will be allowed 15 minutes after the events start. Once inside, eating, drinking and smoking are not permitted, and pets are not allowed to enter.
