August 2 Procession and fiestas in Punta Calera district of Los Alcázares
Punta Calera celebrates the feast day of the Virgen de los Ángeles
The official patron of the Punta Calera district in Los Narejos, at the northern end of the town of Los Alcázares, is Our Lady of the Angels (Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles), and in celebration of her feast day special events are being held in the area on Sunday 2nd August.
After Mass in the local church at 19.00 a procession with the figure of the Virgen begins at 20.00, and this is followed by hot chocolate and churros for all in the main shopping square.
