ARCHIVED - Free summer tourist train connects Orihuela Costa beaches

The train will run from Monday to Saturday throughout August in the Vega Baja, Alicante province

A free tourist train 'Playa de Orihuela' will be in operation throughout August to provide a "fun and accessible" way for locals and visitors to explore the Orihuela coastline.

"With this 'little train', as it is known colloquially, the urbanisations of La Regia, Cabo Roig and La Zenia will be connected, which will allow people to go to the beaches of Cala Bosque, Cala Mosca and Playa de la Glea. It is a fun way for the little ones and tourists to get around the beaches and will facilitate easy mobility for the elderly", says Orihuela Council, which has organised the free service.

The 'Playa de Orihuela' tourist train schedule is as follows: 

From Campoamor (La Glea Beach) to Playa Flamenca:
Monday to Friday - 11am, 1pm, 5pm
Saturdays - 9am, 11am, 1pm
