ARCHIVED - Alicante police discover cocaine home delivery service in Torrevieja
The drugs were stashed in Tupperware containers in an Alicante bar and several homes
The Guardia Civil in Alicante have dismantled a narcotics organisation made up of 7 people who sold cocaine throughout the province from a bar run by one of its leaders. According to official sources, the drugs were stored in Tupperware containers inside microwaves in the kitchen of the pub until they were ready to be sold.
Four men and three women, aged between 28 and 45, have been arrested.
The investigation began when officials in Torrevieja learned that a “retail” drugs sales point had been set up in a local bar and that those involved also sold the cocaine in a nearby children’s playground. The criminal plot was led by two brothers, a taxi driver and a bricklayer, who was also the owner of the bar.

In an unusual twist, it was learned that the gang operated a ‘telecoca’ service, whereby the bar would take orders for drugs which would then be hand delivered to the homes of customers.
Officers carried out searches on three houses in Torrevieja on April 11 which resulted in the seizure of 204 grams of cocaine paste, 35.5 grams of cocaine divided for sale into 68 doses, 5.8 grams of marijuana, precision scales and packaging materials, 2 simulated weapons, various mobile phones, 12,055 euros in cash and 5 vehicles.
Sources have reported that in all three homes the drugs were left in plain sight, although some were also found stashed in microwaves.
