Alicante weather forecast August 10-13: 40-degree heat backs off for the weekend
This Thursday will be the hottest day of the heatwave for Alicante, but the weekend will still be extremely hot

Alicante weather warnings, Thursday August 10
The province of Alicante will reach the roasting height of the heatwave this Thursday August 10 before temperatures ease off and settle down into their usual hot level of the high-20s and low-30s over the weekend and into next week.
This third heatwave of the year in Spain leaves Alicante on red alert this Thursday for temperatures as high as 42ºC in the southern part of the province. The north of Alicante, including Denia and Alcoy, is on orange alert, while further north in the province of Valencia and south in the Region of Murcia there are more red alerts this Thursday.
Not a drop of rain is forecast for the weekend or beyond into next week, but thankfully from Friday August 11 onwards there will be no more hot weather warnings issued, but rather we will have a drop in temperatures to levels that are slightly less hellish but still warm.
Over the weekend, maximum temperatures during the daytime will hover around 28-32ºC along the coast in places like Guardamar del Segura, Torrevieja, Benidorm and Calpe, but may reach up to 34-36ºC further inland in Elda and Villena.
