Alicante launches first ever flights to Channel Islands
Aurigny Air will fly from the Costa Blanca to Guernsey every Saturday during the summer months

The popularity of Alicante airport as an international hub continues to grow year after year, and the Costa Blanca base has just won the ‘Best European Airport’ award in the 15 to 25 million category for the fifth time. This summer season, Alicante will connect with 30 different countries and introduce attractive new routes to destinations such as Austria, Poland and Greece.
But there’s also a surprise UK addition for 2025.
For the first time ever, holidaymakers will be able to jet off to the Channel Islands from Alicante Airport, thanks to a new summer flight schedule launched by Aurigny Air Services, a subsidiary of the State of Guernsey.
Flights between the Costa Blanca and the Channel Islands will run every Saturday between July 5 and August 9.
Flights will depart on Saturdays between July 5 and August 9.
This high season, Aurigny Air will fly to the island of Guernsey, one of the islets that make up the Bailiwick of Guernsey. This enclave, located between Great Britain and Normandy, is home to more than 60,000 people.
From Alicante to Guernsey, flights will depart at 1.20pm, arriving on the island at 3.55pm. On the other side, flights will take off at 8.10am and land in Alicante at around 12.20pm.
With 6.12 million passengers, Great Britain is the largest tourist market for Alicante-Elche Airport, and this has increased considerably thanks to more flights from Ryanair, easyJet and Jet2’s new base in London.
There are several more novelties at Alicante this summer: Hungary's Wizz Air will fly to Belgrade, connecting El Altet with the Serbian capital for the first time, while easyJet will bridge the gap between Alicante and Greece on a new route. Ryanair, for its part, is taking advantage of the Central European trend to fly to Salzburg and Linz, Austria, and add a new route to Poland, while Norwegian will expand its service to Riga, the capital of Latvia.
The massive volume of connections and airlines is driving forecasts to unprecedented levels at Alicante Airport, with 14.7 million scheduled seats over the next few months.
