ARCHIVED - Aguilas Town Hall demands improved road access to Los Collados and Los Geraneos
Águilas council reports an increase in population in both developments in recent years
Mari Carmen Moreno, the Mayoress of Águilas, has reiterated her request to the regional government of Murcia to take action in order to make road access safer to the residential developments of Los Collados and Los Geráneos.
Access to both residential areas is from the RM-D14 road between Águilas and Calabardina, and in recent years their population is reported to have risen significantly, increasing the risk of road accidents in the area. In this context Sra Moreno is demanding that officials from the Murcia government determine what action is to be taken and implement the plans as soon as possible.
As long ago as 2017 the council officially asked for the construction of a roundabout providing access to Los Collados- Zieschang and Los Collados Weiss, but Sra Moreno reports that she is still waiting for a positive response.
