YOU CAN VOTE FOR MURCIA: Southend Airport asks passengers which destinations they would like to see
This is your chance to make real change and vote for a flight connection between Murcia and Southend Airport
One of the major gripes that travellers have with the Region of Murcia International Airport, better known as Corvera Airport due to its location in the otherwise unremarkable town of Corvera, is that there just aren’t enough international flight destinations available all year round.
It’s one of the reasons why many people prefer to use Alicante Airport when flying in and out of southeast Spain.
Newcastle, the Netherlands, anywhere in Scotland… these are the usual requests to airlines and airport staff for new destinations connecting with the Murcia. Now, passengers get a real chance to have their say when it comes to one UK destination – London Southend Airport.
On Tuesday December 12, Southend Airport in Essex asked its followers on social media a very important question: “What destination would you like to see #BackForGood at London Southend Airport?”
Accompanied by a video of airport staff singing Take That’s ‘Back For Good’, they called for passengers to comment on the post on X (formerly known as Twitter) to vote for which destination they would most like to see as a permanent fixture to and from Southend Airport.
Several flight routes have been added to Southend Airport this year, including Alicante, and this year’s winter schedule is the busiest the airport has had in the last four years.
Votes have already been cast on the Twitter post for Lanzarote, Corfu, Italy, Barcelona, Jersey, Malta and Glasgow. But now is your chance to make your voice heard and vote for Murcia to get people to see that what is really needed are more year-round flights in and out of Murcia.
