Yellow weather warning issued across Murcia as rain and storms return
AEMET's warning runs from midnight until 6:00 am on Wednesday, with up to 15 litres of rain per square metre possible in one hour

The rain isn't quite finished with the Region of Murcia yet. After last week's storms and flooding, more rain and thunderstorms are expected overnight, with Aemet issuing a yellow warning across the whole Region.
The warning comes into force at midnight on Tuesday October 6 and remains in place until 6:00 am on Wednesday October 7. Some areas could see up to 15 litres of rain per square metre in just one hour.
The chance of rain is between 10% and 40% across the Altiplano, Noroeste and Vega del Segura. It's higher in the Guadalentín Valley, Lorca and Águilas, as well as the Campo de Cartagena and Mazarrón, where the probability rises to between 40% and 70%. Thunderstorms are also possible, and Aemet says there could be isolated storms that are stronger than expected.
It comes after a few quieter days following the heavy rain at the end of last week. Although, there were some showers on Tuesday morning inland, with around 5 litres per square metre recorded in Santomera, Murcia and Lorca. There were also lighter showers around Molina de Segura, Abanilla and Fortuna.
The good news is that the rain shouldn't last very long. There could still be some showers along the coast on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning, particularly around Cartagena, but most of the Region should then see much drier weather as the week goes on. Inland areas are expected to have very little chance of rain into next week.
And there's another change on the way. Temperatures are finally starting to come down after weeks of weather that has felt more like summer than autumn. By the weekend, maximum temperatures should be around 25 degrees in Murcia, Molina de Segura, Lorca and much of the coast. Inland areas could see minimum temperatures drop below 15 degrees overnight.
The Altiplano and Noroeste will feel cooler, with daytime temperatures only just getting above 20 degrees. Caravaca de la Cruz could drop to just 6 degrees overnight from Saturday October 10 into Sunday October 11.
It's quite a change after September, which was the second warmest on record in Murcia. The average temperature was 24 degrees, 2.2 degrees above normal, while rainfall was well below the usual level for the month. So, if you've still got the fan running at night, you might soon be reaching for the duvet instead.
