Restaurants and cafés are starting to follow the same trend, particularly those with their own parking. Some fast food chains and coffee shops now offer free charging while you eat or take a break.

 

Hotels are another useful option, especially on longer trips. Many offer complimentary charging for guests, although you often need to check in at reception first or pay for parking.

 

You can also find charging points in public car parks, airports and train stations, where you can leave your car plugged in during your journey. In most cases, charging is free but standard parking fees still apply.

 

With fuel prices remaining high, electric cars are becoming more appealing for drivers in Spain. Charging at home can cost as little as €1.50 to €2 per 100 km, compared to around €8 to €12 for petrol, making a noticeable difference over time.
