Weekend of sunshine and high temps: Alicante weather forecast July 25-28
As the heatwave comes to an end, Alicante can look forward to a warm, bright weekend

Weather outlook on Saturday July 27
Spain is currently in the midst of an intense heatwave, with temperatures soaring above 40ºC. This week marks the second major heatwave of the summer, bringing sweltering conditions to the province of Alicante.
On Wednesday July 24, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) activated a yellow alert for high temperatures in Alicante, with the northern coast being particularly affected. While the alert remains active in some parts of the country, Alicante is no longer included. However, that doesn't mean we'll be catching a break from the heat anytime soon.
On Thursday July 25, expect clear or partly cloudy skies across the province. Temperatures will remain high, with Alcoy and Orihuela reaching a scorching 36ºC. Elche won't be far behind at 34ºC, while Alicante and Dénia will see slightly cooler temperatures of 32ºC.

The weak, variable wind will shift towards the south as the day progresses, with moderate to strong intervals in the extreme northeast.
Friday July 26 brings a slight reprieve, with a gentle drop in temperatures. Skies will be mostly clear or partly cloudy, with some intervals of low clouds in the morning.

The wind will be light and variable, shifting to easterly and southerly components in the afternoon, with moderate easterly intervals along the coast.
Heading into the weekend, Saturday July 27 will bring partly cloudy or clear skies. Night-time temperatures will dip slightly, while maximum temperatures will see a slight increase or remain unchanged.

Light variable winds will have a southerly component, picking up to moderate easterly winds along the Alicante coast.
As Sunday July 28 arrives, skies will be predominantly clear or partly cloudy, with some low clouds in the morning. Minimum temperatures will hold steady or rise slightly, while maximum temperatures will drop in Valencia and remain relatively unchanged elsewhere.

The Alicante coast will experience a moderate northeasterly wind, while the rest of the region will have light winds with intervals of moderate intensity from the east.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this weekend
- Thursday July 25: Min 20ºC; Max 34ºC
- Friday July 26: Min 18ºC; Max 36ºC
- Saturday July 27: Min 19ºC; Max 35ºC
- Sunday July 28: Min 20ºC; Max 36ºC
