Alicante prepares to welcome August with a bit of a mixed weather forecast. On the one hand, the temperatures will begin to creep up as the days go on but on the other, there is a chance of scattered showers and even some heavy rain throughout the Valencian Community all week.
Monday July 31 will begin overcast across the province but this will clear towards noon, giving way to a mostly clear day. There’s a slight chance of some isolated rain along the coast earlier on and inland areas could experience some storms in the afternoon.

Elche: 24ºC to 33ºC
Orihuela: 24ºC to 34ºC
The temperatures will begin to ramp up on Tuesday August 1 with inland Alicante and the southern coast both on yellow alert for extreme heat in the high 30s. It will be another mostly clear day with morning cloudiness on the coast clearing early. Variable light wind with sea breezes.

Daytime temperatures will remain the same in much of the province on Wednesday August 2 although there will be significant increases in northern and inland Alicante, where a yellow weather alert is in place. It will be mostly clear or a little cloudy with a moderate south and southeasterly breeze along the coast.
