ARCHIVED - Weather warnings for rain in Cartagena and Mazarron: November 17 and 18
Heavy rain is forecast across the Region of Murcia over the next few days
As the national forecast predicts the arrival of a winter DANA storm, the Region of Murcia as a whole is in for a very wet few days and the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has predicted a huge storm and heavy rain starting from Wednesday afternoon, November 17.
Starting from around 1pm onwards, the southeast of Murcia can expect to see dark rain clouds beginning to form and rain is forecast from 2pm throughout the rest of the day in coastal and central areas. Aemet have issued a yellow weather warning for rain in the Campo de Cartagena and Mazarrón, which will be in effect from 2pm until midnight on Wednesday.
As for the northernmost part of the Region, these areas should avoid the rain until the early hours of Thursday morning, November 18. Stormy weather is then forecast for the rest of the day across the Region, with some patches of sun shining through along the coast.
Aemet has yet to issue any weather warnings for the weekend, but their forecast predicts heavy rain and storms until at least Monday November 22.
