Weather rebounds from storms to sunny skies: Alicante forecast June 14-16
Alicante province will enjoy a break from the heavy rain this weekend with mostly sunny skies
Average temperatures expected on Sunday June 16
What a week it’s been in Alicante. A storm front that passed through Spain put the entire province on alert on Tuesday June 11, and many municipalities experienced severe flooding and as much as 50 litres of rainfall per square metre.
After that stormy episode, the weather is settling down for the weekend. While there’s still a chance of rain, daytime temperatures are climbing into the pleasant 30s.
Friday June 14
Enjoy a mix of slightly cloudy and clear skies on Friday, with some cloudy intervals in the central hours of the day. Daytime temperatures will start to climb but this will be punctuated by a gentle east and southerly breeze.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Friday
Alcoy: 15ºC to 29ºC
Alicante: 17ºC to 30ºC
Denia: 17ºC to 30ºC
Elche: 15ºC to 30ºC
Orihuela: 16ºC to 31ºC
Saturday June 15
Slightly cloudy skies with intervals of high clouds will create a very pleasant backdrop for weekend plans. Starting at midday, there may be some cloudy intervals of diurnal evolution in inland towns, and there’s a low probability of occasional showers.
Night-time temperatures are on the rise, while maximums will fall slightly in the northeast and increase in the south. The variable light wind will keep things balmy, with moderate intervals in the middle of the day.

Alcoy: 18ºC to 29ºC
Alicante: 20ºC to 31ºC
Denia: 20ºC to 27ºC
Elche: 18ºC to 33ºC
Orihuela: 18ºC to 34ºC
Sunday June 16
Sunday will kick off with a cloudy start, bringing occasional showers and storms during the first half of the day. These will be more prevalent in the south of Valencia and north of Alicante, but they are unlikely to last for long.
Minimum temperatures will remain steady, while daytime temperatures will take a slight dip. A variable light wind will blow, gently leaning towards an easterly direction in the afternoon.

Alcoy: 17ºC to 27ºC
Alicante: 20ºC to 28ºC
Denia: 19ºC to 26ºC
Elche: 18ºC to 29ºC
Orihuela: 17ºC to 30ºC
