Warm days with afternoon storms inland: Alicante weekend weather forecast June 19-22
Plenty of sunshine along the coast but keep an eye on the skies inland each afternoon

Thursday June 19

Skies across the province will start off mostly clear with some high cloud arriving later in the day. In the afternoon, particularly in areas like Alcoy, there is a good chance of showers and thunderstorms developing inland. Some of these may be locally strong and could come with hail and gusty winds. Temperatures will hold steady and winds will be light, picking up from the east and southeast later on.
Friday June 21

Friday will be similar, with mostly sunny skies early on and more cloud bubbling up inland as the day goes on. There is a chance of some afternoon storms again, especially in higher inland spots around Orihuela. Temperatures will rise slightly and the breeze will remain light, turning from the southeast by the afternoon.
Saturday June 21

Saturday is shaping up to be a warm day across the region. Places like Benidorm and Elche will see clear skies in the morning, with some cloud development inland later on that could bring showers or a thunderstorm. Temperatures will be particularly high in some inland areas. Winds will stay light, picking up a little along the northern and central coastlines in the afternoon.
Sunday June 22

Sunday will continue the pattern, with clear or slightly cloudy skies in the morning. Cloud is likely to build during the afternoon inland, with a few passing showers or thunderstorms possible around the northern areas. Temperatures will remain stable, though they may dip slightly inland and along the central coast. Winds will once again be light and variable, with an easterly breeze setting in by the afternoon, especially near Torrevieja and Alicante city.
Expect a mostly dry and sunny weekend for coastal towns, but those inland should stay weather-aware in the afternoons as storms could pop up quickly.
