Warm and muggy with a chance of rain: Alicante weather forecast June 27-30
An approaching DANA will bring lots of rain to the north of Alicante province over the weekend
Average temperatures expected on Saturday
Rain is on the way thanks to yet another DANA crossing Spain on the diagonal over the weekend, but most of Alicante province will be pretty much sheltered from the worst of the showers. Valencia and Castellón are in for a far wetter weekend but the Costa Blanca should remain relatively dry, although some heavy showers are forecast in the north of the province.
And after the storm passes, the mercury should shoot up by several degrees, reaching a lofty 35ºC in Orihuela on Saturday.
Thursday June 27
Things will remain fairly stable on Thursday, although it might be a little cloudy with a good chance of hazy skies. Few changes are expected yet temperature-wise but that common easterly breeze could pick up again along the coast.

Alcoy: 18ºC to 29ºC
Alicante: 20ºC to 31ºC
Dénia: 21ºC to 28ºC
Elche: 19ºC to 31ºC
Orihuela: 19ºC to 31ºC
Friday June 28
Cloudy skies with probable showers and occasional storms inland, and the haze will reduce visibility a little in most parts. Daytime temperatures will fall along the coast and the wind will be much stronger in central Alicante during the afternoon.

Alcoy: 19ºC to 30ºC
Alicante: 21ºC to 29ºC
Dénia: 21ºC to 28ºC
Elche: 21ºC to 30ºC
Orihuela: 22ºC to 32ºC
Saturday June 29
The day will start out overcast and wet in the northern half of the province, but this should ease off towards the late evening. In the south, the skies will be mostly clear and Saturday promises to be dry and bright.
Daytime temperatures will begin to climb along the southern coast and in the north, while a warm breeze will feel a bit blustery during the central hours of the day.

Alcoy: 18ºC to 31ºC
Alicante: 23ºC to 32ºC
Dénia: 21ºC to 32ºC
Elche: 21ºC to 34ºC
Orihuela: 22ºC to 35ºC
Sunday June 30
The last day of the month will be very cloudy in northern Alicante, where there’s a strong possibility of scattered showers accompanied by thunderstorms.
Night-time temperatures will remain in the muggy 20s but it will be a little cooler along the coast during the day.

Alcoy: 20ºC to 32ºC
Alicante: 21ºC to 29ºC
Dénia: 21ºC to 29ºC
Elche: 20ºC to 31ºC
Orihuela: 20ºC to 32ºC
