This is the hottest destination in Spain for foreign investment in luxury houses
It is not hard to see why many people choose Spain as a place to invest in luxury property. The country offers travellers beautiful weather, fantastic beaches and superb landscapes.
These offerings are found nowhere more distinctly than the Balearic Islands. For that reason, the Costa de los Pinos area in Mallorca is the place that gets the most interest in luxury properties from abroad, according to the real estate portal idealista.
This destination which is beloved by foreign investors was followed closely in popularity by the Port d'Andratx and Cala Murada, both also found on the island of Mallorca.
The data collected was in regards to luxury properties that are valued above 1.5 million euros. In fact, of the 30 areas that have demanded the most attention from foreign investors of luxury homes, almost half are located in the Balearics. Among these destinations are Dalt Vila in Ibiza and Santanyí and Capdepera in Mallorca.
Outside of the Balearic Islands, the destinations that have get the most interest are Oltamar-Cucarres in Calpe, Elviria-Cabopino beach, Marbella and the Santa Margarida beach in Girona.
The data shows that those who are interested in luxury homes on the Balearic Islands are mostly from Germany and Switzerland, while it is the Dutch who show a greater preference for locations in Alicante.
