ARCHIVED - VIDEO: Firefighters tackle car fire on Orihuela Costa urbanisation
The vehicle burst into flames in a residential area of the Vega Baja town, Alicante province, and a fire crew was quickly on the scene to stop the flames spreading
Emergency crews responded to a reported car fire outside homes on a heavily-populated urbanisation in Orihuela Costa this morning, Wednesday November 10.
Local Police in Orihuela have shared footage of the vehicle blaze, which appears to show a Volvo C70 engulfed in flames, close to other parked cars and houses, although the exact location has not been confirmed by the emergency services.
The footage, posted on Facebook, was quickly shared dozens of times, and locals have speculated the fire broke out in Calle Los Pinos in the popular Zeniamar urbanisation.
The fire crew managed to get the flames under control without further damage and no injuries have been reported. It's not yet clear what caused the fire.
