Unusually high temps give way to spring-like conditions: Alicante weather March 16-19
Temperatures will fall slightly in Alicante province ahead of the official start of spring

As we approach the final weekend ahead of the official start of spring (March 20) and the days get longer, the unusually high temperatures of late will give way to conditions more typical of this time of year.
The arrival of a small weather front on Friday will leave the skies pretty overcast to begin with, but will clear. The sun will then come out during the day for the most part of the weekend, with only a slight chance of scattered showers, and nights will feel less chilly.
The outlook for Thursday March 16 is clear skies or intervals of light cloud with little change in temperatures which will remain pleasantly high, topping out at 23ºC in parts of the Vega Baja region. A light variable wind will tend towards easterly in the afternoon.

Denia: 10ºC to 20ºC
Elche: 10ºC to 22ºC
Orihuela: 9ºC to 23ºC
Things will heat up a little on Friday March 17, with thermometers climbing a degree or two, although the day is likely to get off to a misty start with possible morning fog. Low clouds will give way to spells of high cloud as the day progresses and a variable wind will become southerly in the afternoon.

Cloudy intervals on Saturday morning, March 18, will become more widespread by the afternoon and there's a chance of scattered showers in the north of the province. Temperatures are not expected to change significantly, and a light wind is forecast with sea breezes in coastal areas.

Intervals of low cloud on the coast on Sunday morning, March 19, will shift further inland from midday. The mercury will fall slightly, although highs will remain between 19ºC and 21ºC, cooler further inland. A northerly wind will make its way across coastal areas tending towards easterly elsewhere.
