Unpredictable showers and storms: Alicante weather forecast June 24-27
A new DANA sweeping Spain could bring damp weather to parts of Alicante in the middle of the week
Average temperatures expected on Wednesday
Another weather system in the form of a DANA is expected to hit northern Spain midweek, which will leave abundant rain and storms in its wake and pull the temperatures right down. As usual, Alicante seems to have its own little micro-climate so it will avoid the brunt of it, but there is still a chance of isolated showers and stormy intervals on Wednesday and Thursday.
Monday June 24
After an overcast start to the week, the skies should clear by noon, although the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) warns that some light rain could hit the northern coast of Alicante province.
Both day and night-time temperatures will dip a little, but the changes won’t be that noticeable.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Monday
Alcoy: 17ºC to 27ºC
Alicante: 21ºC to 27ºC
Denia: 20ºC to 28ºC
Elche: 19ºC to 28ºC
Orihuela: 20ºC to 29ºC
Tuesday June 25
Tuesday will be mostly clear with a little cloud cover. Daytime temperatures should increase ever so slightly in parts, with no changes at night expected. A variable light wind will feel much breezier on the coast from midday.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Tuesday
Alcoy: 16ºC to 29ºC
Alicante: 20ºC to 28ºC
Denia: 19ºC to 29ºC
Elche: 18ºC to 29ºC
Orihuela: 19ºC to 31ºC
Wednesday June 26
A little overcast on Wednesday, with general intervals of high clouds and daytime cloudiness in the interior of the northern half of the province, where some isolated showers are not ruled out, occasionally with a storm in the afternoon.
Daytime temperatures should rise again, but not by too much.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Wednesday
Alcoy: 18ºC to 33ºC
Alicante: 21ºC to 29ºC
Denia: 19ºC to 28ºC
Elche: 20ºC to 31ºC
Orihuela: 19ºC to 32ºC
Thursday June 27
Slightly cloudy skies will become darker inland during the afternoon, when stormy showers are also forecast. These could spread but are unlikely to reach the south of the province. Few changes are expected temperature-wise.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Thursday
Alcoy: 17ºC to 29ºC
Alicante: 21ºC to 32ºC
Denia: 20ºC to 29ºC
Elche: 19ºC to 32ºC
Orihuela: 29ºC to 32ºC
