Uber Eats launches beach delivery service in Spain
Food and grocery delivery will be available at 10 different beaches including Murcia, Alicante and Benidorm
Uber Eats is bringing its food and grocery delivery services directly to beachgoers on ten popular Spanish beaches this summer. With this new service, sun-seekers can now enjoy convenient access to a wide range of products, from sun cream to ice cream and everything in between.
Last summer, more than a thousand orders were placed through Uber Eats at Playa de las Canteras in Las Palmas alone, proving that there’s a high demand for such a service.
Now, with the introduction of strategic pick-up points along the Spanish coast, Uber Eats aims to make deliveries even more efficient for both drivers and consumers.
Ricardo Pabon, Marketing Director of Uber Eats in Spain and Portugal, stated: “This summer, we want to go one step further to reach every corner of Spain.”
“From today, our product catalogue is available to our users on some of the most iconic beaches in Spain, so they can order almost anything without having to move from their towel,” he added.
The Californian company now offers its food delivery service at Can Pere Antoni Beach (Mallorca), En Bossa Beach (Ibiza), Llevant Beach (Benidorm), San Juan Beach (Alicante), Port Saplatja Beach (Valencia), Playa de las Canteras (Las Palmas), Playa de la Concha (San Sebastián), Playa de Lloret de Mar (Costa Brava), Playa de Villananitos (San Pedro del Pinatar-Murcia) and Praia de Samil (Vigo).
Customers will be able to choose from a catalogue of more than 17,000 shops and restaurants, so there’s never a reason to be stuck.
In addition, the company has also expanded its ride-hailing services to Spanish vacation islands including Mallorca and Tenerife.
