Two earthquakes of magnitude 3.1 and 2 hit Jumilla
The epicentre of the first tremor was recorded on the surface, while the second originated at a depth of 2 kilometres

Two earthquakes measuring 3.1 and 2.0 on the Richter scale struck Jumilla this Monday April 14 at around 10am, separated by just 8 minutes.
According to the National Geographic Institute (IGN), the epicentre of the first tremor was recorded on the surface, while the second originated at a depth of 2 kilometres, both located south of the town.
Although the earthquakes are classed as minor, they were felt by many residents, but there are no reports of property damage or injuries.
Tremors of similar magnitude have occurred in recent months in Lorca, in the northwest of the region, and also in Jumilla last March.
