The Vïa del Chicharra greenway in Yecla
The Vía Verde del Chicharra covers a distance of 31.6 kilometres
Click here to access a bilingual leaflet published in Spanish and English by the tourist office of Yecla describing the The Vía Verde del Chicharra, a greenway which has been created, like many others, by making use of an old disused railway trackbed.
Nicknamed the "Chicharra" (cicada), trains ran here from Yecla through Villena and on to the town of Biar in the Alto Vinalopó area of the province of Alicante.
