Temperatures plummet as rain continues: Alicante weather forecast March 13-16
Those attending the highly-anticipated Orihuela Costa St Patrick’s Day parade should be prepared for some showers

Weather outlook on Thursday March 13
The stormy weather shows no signs of letting up in Alicante, with another low-pressure system, storm Konrad, set to bring heavy rain and potential hailstorms to the province this Thursday and Friday. This follows hot on the heels of the previous storm, Jana, which brought intense and widespread rain and electrical storms to the area earlier this week.

Weather outlook on Friday March 14
Unfortunately, the succession of storms will continue to batter the province over the weekend. On Thursday March 13 and Friday March 14, the rain is expected to be widespread, possibly intense, with thunderstorms and small hail. Snow levels will drop to around 1,200 metres and temperatures will plummet 5-10 degrees below normal.
The strong winds blowing across the Mediterranean on Friday will make it a cold and blustery day.
On Saturday March 15 there will be a brief respite from the rain, with clear skies in the morning and cloudy skies in the afternoon.

Weather outlook on Saturday March 15
However, it will still be chilly, with light frosts inland and temperatures well below average.
As Alicante looks ahead to Sunday March 16, partly cloudy skies are expected with a chance of rain throughout the province, especially in the second half of the day. The snow level will remain low and minimum temperatures will rise, but frost is still possible inland.

Weather outlook on Sunday March 16
Sunday is also set to be a big day in Orihuela Costa, where the Cabo Roig St Patrick's Day parade is scheduled to take place, so parade-goers should be prepared for potentially damp and chilly conditions.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this weekend
- Thursday March 13: Min 8ºC; Max 20ºC
- Friday March 14: Min 5ºC; Max 19ºC
- Saturday March 15: Min 3ºC; Max 19ºC
- Sunday March 16: Min 5ºC; Max 19ºC
