Temperatures soar past 30 degrees: Alicante weather forecast May 13-16
The mercury will peak mid-week in Alicante province before dipping back to the mid 20s
Temperatures expected on Tuesday afternoon
After a bit of a cloudy and breezy start, the weekend turned into a real scorcher in most of Alicante province, with highs of 25ºC or more recorded in several places. There are cooler days ahead, but not before the mercury climbs even higher in the middle of the week, bathing Alicante in heat more typical of July.
Monday May 13
The week will get off to a rather overcast start but the cloud cover will clear before the afternoon to reveal plenty of sunny spells. Daytime temperatures will remain unchanged for now but Monday evening will be a little warmer than previous days.
A southerly wind will feel a little stronger along the coast.

Alcoy: 14ºC to 28ºC
Alicante: 17ºC to 24ºC
Denia: 15ºC to 25ºC
Elche: 15ºC to 26ºC
Orihuela: 15ºC to 28ºC
Tuesday May 14
The forecast is for mostly clear or slightly cloudy skies on Tuesday and the temperatures, both day and night, will begin to climb, reaching a sweltering 33ºC in Orihuela and Elche. Once again, the southwesterly wind will feel much breezier in coastal areas.

Alcoy: 15ºC to 28ºC
Alicante: 17ºC to 31ºC
Denia: 14ºC to 26ºC
Elche: 15ºC to 33ºC
Orihuela: 15ºC to 33ºC
Wednesday May 15
The north of Alicante province will be very overcast on Wednesday, and there’s a good chance of heavy showers and the occasional storm. But while it will be cloudy elsewhere, the rain is unlikely to spread further south.
Both daytime and night-time temperatures will take a dip, but the mercury should still remain in the high 20s for the most part.

Alcoy: 13ºC to 25ºC
Alicante: 17ºC to 27ºC
Denia: 15ºC to 22ºC
Elche: 15ºC to 29ºC
Orihuela: 15ºC to 29ºC
Thursday May 16
Early morning cloudy intervals will become more widespread as the day goes on, and stormy showers are still a possibility in the northern half of the province. A light, variable wind will gather strength along the coast.

Alcoy: 12ºC to 25ºC
Alicante: 14ºC to 27ºC
Denia: 14ºC to 26ºC
Elche: 14ºC to 28ºC
Orihuela: 14ºC to 29ºC
