Suspended dust and showers: Alicante weekend weather forecast May 1-4
Rain will return to Alicante province in the form of mud showers this bank holiday weekend

Weather outlook on Saturday afternoon, May 3
Alicante is celebrating Santa Faz this week, a pilgrimage day typically associated with the ‘miracle’ of rain that fell after a prolonged drought 500 years ago. And it seems that Mother Nature is listening, as the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) is forecasting an unstable May weekend throughout Alicante province.
Thursday May 1

Expect a cloudy start to the day, especially in northern areas where morning fog may reduce visibility. Fine dust in the air could mix with light rain in some places, creating mud showers.
Temperatures will rise slightly, especially in the south. Winds will blow moderately from the northeast along the coast and lightly inland, with occasional gusts.
Friday May 2

The dust will continue on Friday, keeping skies mostly cloudy. There's still a chance of muddy rain, though it should taper off by the afternoon.
Temperatures will edge upward, particularly in the north. Winds will follow a similar pattern to Thursday: moderate along the coast and light inland, picking up a bit around midday.
Saturday May 3

Showers are expected throughout the day, with the possibility of thunderstorms inland. Skies will stay cloudy, and temperatures will remain steady, although some warming is likely in Castellón and Valencia. Winds will be light and variable, shifting to an easterly breeze in the afternoon.
Sunday May 4

A mix of sun and cloud is forecast to round out the weekend. Rain is more likely in northern areas, possibly turning into localised thunderstorms later in the day.
While minimum temperatures will stay stable, highs will vary: rising along the southern and central coast, falling slightly inland in Valencia. Westerly winds will strengthen in the afternoon in both Valencia and Alicante.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this weekend
- Thursday May 1: Min 13ºC; Max 28ºC
- Friday May 2: Min 14ºC; Max 28ºC
- Saturday May 3: Min 14ºC; Max 27ºC
- Sunday May 4: Min 12ºC; Max 28ºC
